being grounded

Being grounded means to connect with our true self. It means being mindful of the present moment, and not getting blown about by every breeze. Being grounded graces us with a feeling of clarity and harmony. Having a connection with the earth helps us to feel centered and balanced. Being grounded feels like a sturdy pine tree with roots going deep. The wind may blow this way and that, but the tree remains rooted, knowing it will still stand tall and strong tomorrow. Tadasana II, the mountain pose, also known as the pine pose, offers one way to connect with the earth. Gently pushing our feet into the ground, while our crown reaches upwards to the sky mimics a pine tree and brings stabilization and good posture. How will you ground yourself today?
